How a KMI hose
is built

Measure
Send the old hose, a photo or the part number. We match the size, length and fittings.

Cut & fit
The hose is cut square and the fittings go on.
- 03
Crimp
Ferrules are crimped onto the hose so the ends hold.
- 04
Guard
Spiral guard goes on where the line rubs against steel and rock.
- 05
Ready
Tagged and ready to fit on the machine.
Cylinder repair, done properly
A real job from our workshop: a failed hydraulic cylinder, stripped, repaired, reassembled and tested before it went back to work.

Receipt & inspection
Stripped and inspected. The rod was damaged and bent, the likely cause of the failure.

Piston rod
The bent piston rod was replaced with a new one.
- 03
Piston & retainer
The piston was repaired and re-used; the non-standard piston nut was replaced.

Barrel
Scratches in the barrel bore were honed and polished smooth.

Gland
The worn gland was repaired to keep the cylinder sealing.
